I’m building a playlist on YouTube of a million ways 2 die in video games. It’s a silly quest to be sure, but I have access to all of these fun tools and it’s a unique way to use them.
I die a lot, that’s a fact. It’s so interesting to me how gaming has progressed. No longer is your progress in a game dependent on staying alive. Checkpoints are everywhere. I couldn’t tell you how many retro games I quit playing because I got to a point that I just could not pass and every time I died it meant starting all over again.
Most of today’s games provide you with a recent place to return to without losing all of your points and items, sometimes making you take a short time out while the rest of the team reaches the next checkpoint. It has definitely made gaming less frustrating. I’m not sure if this is necessarily a good or bad thing. For me – it means I stick to a game I enjoy longer.
Back to the playlist…
I don’t think I will ever be able to capture 1 million death scenes by myself. It’s taken over a year to put together 80 😂. I need help!
I’m inviting followers and subscribers (Twitch, YouTube, Blog) to share your epic death scenes and get them added to the playlist. I’d love to see how quickly we could build the list.
Participate:
- Clip your death scene from whatever game you are playing.
- Try to keep it under 2 minutes. I’m currently doing 1 minute or less as I’m using the YouTube Shorts format but clips can also be regular sized.
- If you have a YouTube channel, post your video and send me the link (via here, Twitch, YouTube or wherever 🤣)
- If you clip your scene on Twitch and share the link that way, make sure to enable downloading so I can upload it to the YouTube Playlist.
Clips don’t have to be fancy, but try to include the name of the game and any other info you want to share within the description of your video.
