The headline My Take: The Christian ‘Taliban’ wants to impose their religion on the rest of us …perfect! This descriptive should be used more often in my opinion. Maybe it would provoke some deeper thinking on what, exactly, a religion believes in.
“Many women are doing to die, thanks to the Supreme Court, and many unwanted children will be brought into this world. We will see if the Christian “Taliban” will provide care, resources and families for them. I have my doubts. State governments will now force women to bear children against their wishes. Welcome to red America!” Read the full article here: https://www.yahoo.com/news/christian-taliban-wants-impose-religion-041510162.html
Just the other day I overheard a conversation about how women who have moved to America shouldn’t be following their religion anymore and that they should not be wearing headwear that oppresses them. Honestly, I do not know much about the religious and cultural beliefs of other countries, I had enough of the American ones to keep me occupied. I did find this awesome informational article on the differences of Muslim headdress in case you would like to learn more about them: https://www.channel4.com/news/from-hijab-to-burqa-a-guide-to-muslim-headwear
The problem with saying Muslims should not practice their religion in America is hypocritical. We have our own version of a religion that does a great job of oppressing their people and it’s often referred to as quaint and traditional.

There is much truth to that statement. You either embrace what you were born into it or look for answers elsewhere. Every person should have the right to make those decisions for themselves.
