Who are you thankful for?
I am thankful for my Grandma, who will be 89 years young this month. Her birthday sometimes falls on thanksgiving, which is so sweet and fits her perfectly. She has raised 6 children and is grandma or great grandma to a small army.
She is quiet but strong and has always been the type of person who loves her family no matter what. She has never been wealthy but she once won $10,000 on a lottery ticket. She grew up in Iowa and ran away from home to travel to California with her sister and friend when she was a teenager. She has traveled all over the country with her family. I used to travel 6 to 8 hours to pick her up and bring her to the southern end of MN so she could spend a month or two with my family every year – we got to spoil her a bit π₯°.
I remember lazy childhood days spent running wild with my cousins on the family farm which was right next to a state park. Grandma always had a craft project going and she would drop whatever she was doing when any of us wanted to craft with her. She has amazing patience and is simply a beautiful human who I absolutely adore. β€
